The High-Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI) is a licensable all-digital audio/video interface capable of transmitting uncompressed streams. It provides an interface between any compatible digital audio/video source such as a set-top box, a DVD Player, a PC, a PVR, a video game console and a compatible digital audio and/or video monitor, such as a digital television.
Different from traditional A/V cables, HDMI cables can synchronize video and audio signal transfer. It not only simplifies system fitting but also protects against signal loss and interference. In recent years HDMI began to appear as an essential feature on more and more new digital products for better picture and audio quality.

Japan’s Techno-Frontier 2008 exhibition will be held from April 16 -18. Sunon plans to follow up on last year’s successful introduction of the world’s thinnest-and-lightest nano-technology fan products by showing off its latest developments in micro-scale cooling technologies. At the same time, Sunon will have the fruits of its R&D efforts on display in the field of automobile electronic cooling, including cooling solutions for electronic control units (ECU) featuring easy-to-use controls, as well as motors for ventilating seats featuring energy saving and passenger comfort advantages.

Thin-and-Light Onboard with Sunon Thermal Modules
Targeting cooling solutions for handheld electronic devices, Sunon will present their dazzling R&D accomplishments in cooling modules. Sunon not only experienced a growth of 52% for notebook shipments in 2007, but also became the behind-the-scenes partner for low profile cooling fans in ultrathin notebooks.
Sunon meets the cooling needs of thin-and-light high-tech products and offers a diverse lineup of low profile cooling modules backed by their longstanding R&D expertise. Sunon will have various cooling modules on display at the show, including the new stylings of their independently designed applications for 7” UMPC as well as 8-10” and 12-15” mainstream notebooks. Furthermore, the Microsoft backed 5” OQO Model 2 ultra personal computer utilizing Sunon’s micro-scale cooling fan will also be exhibited, thus demonstrating Sunon’s ability to supply complete cooling solutions for the development of portable and micro-scale products. Micro-scale and low profile innovations from Sunon, including nano-tech products ranging from 8-17 mm micro-fans, 9-30 mm blower fans, and a complete lineup of micro cooling modules, will also be on display. Innovation Capacity Expands to Automobile Cooling Applications
Sunon has successfully introduced the Sunon ECU Cooling Solution for Automotive Vehicles, thereby crossing into the higher technological threshold of engine compartment cooling design. This product gives priority to high safety and reliability, with a cooling solution that introduces aeronautical coating technology to break through the limitations of generic fan designs. The product features an operating temperature range of -40℃~120℃ (compared to a generic ECU box which falls between -30℃~105℃), 9V~32V operable voltage, IP56 protection, and also successfully passed field testing in a 1000km desert rally. Sunon, with their R&D expertise in the vehicular electronics domain, has already received approval from major European and American automobile manufacturers for a number of projects and has since begun developmental partnerships to create the utmost value in car-driver interfaces.
