Taipei, Taiwan, Oct 20, 2008–The 17th National Award of Outstanding Small and Medium Enterprise (SMEs), the most prestigious and honorable award for SME was held at the Taipei Grand-Hyatt Hotel on the 20th of October 2008.All 18 outstanding Small and Medium Enterprises ,including Systems &Technology Corp. were honored personally from The President of Taiwan Mr. Ma Ying-Jeou.

The Small and Medium Enterprise Administration of the Ministry of Economic Affairs (SMEA) declared the awarded companies are the best role models for Taiwan Small to Medium enterprises. These awarded companies are selected across different market sectors with evaluations done on overall profitability, financial index excellence, R&D originality, marketing strategies success and immense contribution to society.

The SMEA announced that this year, there are 12 domestic companies and 6 overseas companies being awarded the 17th National Outstanding SMEs Awards and Oversea Outstanding SMEs Awards respectively. The 6 overseas companies originate from America, Philippine and Canada with industries across from Dental, Restaurant, Information system service, and Telecom service.

The 12 domestic awarded SMEs are: Systems & Technology Corp, Shen-Fung Screws Co.,Ltd, HEP Tech Co.,Ltd, Tung-Yu Hydraulic Machinery Co.,Ltd, CVC Technologies Inc, Fine Tek Co.,Ltd, YOKE Industrial Corp, Buffalo Machinery Company Limited, Laser Tek Taiwan Co., Ltd, SILICON-POWER Corp, Longtek Scientific Co.,Ltd, Termaltake Technology Co.,Ltd.
In addition, the 6 overseas awarded SMEs are as follows：Dental Implant Institute, Asian Legend Inc, DFW Technology Inc, Lightel Technologies Inc, Chiu-Nichi Agro Resources Phil Inc., Telamon Corporation.

The National SMEs award serves as the most respectable recognition, reputable acknowledgement and encouragement for SME. By selecting excellent companies as role models, it has attracted more SMEs to take part in the award by contributing its best to Taiwan‘s economy and trading.
