We require a Drier for drying Turmeric , Ginger and other Vegetable/spice products
Process for Ginger involves :
250 Kg/ hr ( ginger ) is sliced to 5 mm thickness and dried in a continuous belt drier at an inlet air of 80 C and outlet of 45 C. For economising on the drying cost, we plan to recirculate the air until it is saturated ( measured using Humidity sensors) and saturated air is purged out. We plan to use steam as the heating media. 500 Kg/ hr steam at 7 kg / cm2 is available at site . All the contact parts need to be of SS 304 and rest galvanised steel.
The initial moisture content of ginger is 82 % and final 12 % where as turmeric will have an initial moisture of only 50 % and final 12 %
