What is Thermal/Flame Spray?


Flame spray is refering to a series of coating process, in this process, tiny and dispersed metal or non-metal coating material, in a molten or semi-molten state, are sprayed onto a surface.





Why need PTFE Tape for Thermal Spray?


During spraying, the coating material would be sprayed onto the surface, and sometimes, we only want part of surface to be sprayed, then we would need teflon tape for masking.


PTFE tape is also called PTFE coated Adhesive tape, which has Non-stick surface, could resist heat up to 260 degree.


So if you only want part of surface to be sprayed, you would only need to wrap the tape onto the other surface and spraying easily.
