The LONE WORKER SAFETY 2017 Expo is taking place on Tuesday 28th March 2017. It is the only event specifically staged for lone workers and has been growing in popularity since its launch over six years ago.

Lone Worker Safety Conference 2017

The Lone Worker Safety Conference is taking place on Tuesday 28th March 2017 at Olympia, London.

This annual event features several passionate conference speakers who are widely respected true experts in their chosen fields.

All exhibitors, which include firms specialising in lone worker security technology and devices, as well as personal protection training and other types of risk management, will equally ensure this event becomes a source of extremely valuable and relevant information.

Over the recent years the LONE WORKER SAFETY Expo has also become a very useful and highly respected platform for professionals to exchange information, recommendations and codes of practice in reference to all aspects of lone worker protection.

Why is the issue of lone worker protection of such great importance?

LONE WORKER SAFETY 2017 - Over 150 attacks

Robert Kaiser, Organiser and Chair of this annual event states: “According to several studies and research projects a high percentage of workers are concerned about facing verbal aggression, hostility or physical conflict.”

“Everyone responsible for lone worker protection must understand all legal responsibilities to their workforce, as well as all legal, financial and moral consequences if this matter has not bene given full attention.”

“The Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999 and the Corporate Manslaughter and Corporate Homicide Act 2007 and other laws do not make it illegal for employees to work alone, but they do place a responsibility on the employer to ensure that it is safe for them to do so.”

Employers are responsible not just for their own employees but also for others who are affected by their work activities such as self-employed individuals and contractors.

However, Robert Kaiser is also keen to point out that those who work alone also have a responsibility to take reasonable care of themselves and others affected by their working activities. This includes co-operating with employers to ensure that their legal responsibilities are met.

“The knowledge provided by all speakers and the carefully selected products highlighted by all exhibitors can make a real difference in the life of a lone worker. It can make the difference of coming home safely after a hard day at work or not coming home at all.”
