India, China, North America and Europe - the most important industrial regions are represented when the aluminium industry meets at ALUMINIUM INDIA 2019. The largest industry event on the subcontinent is taking place from 31 January to 2 February in Bhubaneswar, the centre of the Indian aluminium industry. Around 100 exhibitors will be showcasing the entire spectrum of the sector at the fair – ranging from raw materials and processing through to end products for the application industries. For the first time, the fair will be accompanied by the renowned INCAL Conference. Together, the two events will demonstrate the potential of the Indian market.

The aim of the fair is to network the international aluminium industry with producers, processors and customers from India in order to initiate new cooperation and investment projects. ALUMINIUM INDIA focuses on the entire spectrum of the industry, from raw materials and processing to end products for the main areas of application on the Indian continent.

India is one of the fastest-growing aluminium markets. The industry is expanding its capacities and investing in new technologies to meet the rising demand from the energy, transport, construction and packaging sectors, for example.

INCAL: Conference provides market and technology outlook

Technologies, market opportunities, downstream perspectives and new applications for aluminium are the focus of the "7th International Conference on Aluminium" (INCAL), organised by the Aluminium Association of India. "Making Aluminium ... Driving Growth and Development" is the theme of the INCAL 2019 discussions focusing on future opportunities, which roughly 800 aluminium experts are expected to attend.

Good prospects for the Indian economy

7.5 per cent growth in 2019 – this is the International Monetary Fund's forecast for the Indian economy. Investment in the country's infrastructure will underpin the projected economic acceleration. The Indian government is investing over USD 1 billion in its "Make in India" initiative. The aluminium industry will also benefit from this. There is great demand for the technology required to build new production facilities. Experts assume that India's annual aluminium consumption will double to 7.2 million tonnes by 2023.

ALUMINIUM INDIA is organised by trade fair organiser Reed Exhibitions in cooperation with the Indian Aluminium Association AAI. The fair is one of a total of six ALUMINIUM fairs organised by Reed Exhibitions in the most important markets around the globe, including the ALUMINIUM world fair in Germany and other events in China, the USA, Brazil and the United Arab Emirates.
