Taipei to host auto shows featuring telematics, EVs

Apr 03, 2014

Last year's fair.

Four trade shows for motor vehicles and auto parts to be held in Taipei next week will showcase telematics and electric vehicles (EVs), the organizers said Wednesday.

Dubbed Asia's best four-in-one motoring hub, the event will not only serve as a great opportunity for boosting exports by local manufacturers but will also provide one-stop shopping services for visitors, said Walter Yeh, executive vice president of the Taiwan External Trade Development Council.

The four shows are the Taipei International Auto Parts and Accessories Show, the Taipei International Automobile Electronics Show, the Taiwan International Motorcycle Show and the Taiwan International Electric Vehicle Show.

A record high of 1,346 exhibitors from home and abroad will man 3,665 booths, showing products ranging from automotive lighting and motors to dash cams and anti-theft devices, said Yeh.

More than 7,000 foreign buyers have registered to attend the show, which will be held April 9-12 at the Taipei World Trade Center Hall 1 and at the Nangang Exhibition Hall, the organizers said.
