The event, Textile International Forum and Exhibition (TIFE) 2014, will be hosted by the Taiwan Textile Research Institute from October 1, 2014 to October 3, 2014 (Wednesday to Friday) at the National Taiwan University Hospital International Convention Center. The theme for the 2014 TIFE event is Diversification and Connection. In an international, demand-oriented competitive environment, various aspects of Taiwan's textile industry (e.g., technology, products, and services) are being challenged. Therefore, Taiwanese industry operators must establish relationships with international customers, exchange professional knowledge with transnational experts, and provide diverse products and services. The purposes of these actions are to reduce the gap in technology and product development between Taiwanese industries and industries worldwide and to understand market orientation and customers' needs. Consequently, Taiwan's textile industry can be directed toward internationalization and market diversification, thereby achieving sustainable management and value creation.
