Taipei International Machine Tool Show (TIMTOS) is one of top three machine tool shows in Asia, which held once in two years. This show held in four different exhibition venues. Every exhibition hall displays a variety of machines, equipments and other products. The biennial exhibition has already become a focus for international buyers, and the upcoming 17th TIMTOS is sure to be a prominent international event in the industry.

The machine tool industry forms a crucial element in Taiwan’s machinery industry; in addition, Taiwan is currently the world’s 4th largest manufacturer of machine tool. This year’s exhibition is centered on the procurement of top-quality “Made in Taiwan” machine tool and total solution for machine industry.

Success was in the air when TIMTOS wrapped up on March 8th with a full slate of records. This 6-day event, also called the 2015 Taipei International Machine Tool Show, attracted 7,130 foreign buyers, an increase of 8.3% on the previous show in 2013.

But the briskness of tangible orders is the big story. This expo with follow-up business is projected to top US$2.1 billion. The prime drivers of these orders were the Procurement Meetings that generated US$35 million. They were led by 29 elite buyers from 18 countries, including China, India, Turkey and Russia who conducted 171 negotiations with 73 Taiwan suppliers.

The next "Taipei International Machine Tool Show" turns on March 7 to 12, 2017, and is expected to scale new peaks to deliver huge prospects across the trade.
