The tradeshow booths of Taipei plastics & rubber tempted around 2,450 in 2008. The number of visitors is rapidly increased from 13,842 to 17,500 at 2006 and 2008 respectively. Taiwan's plastics & rubber machinery enjoys a glowing reputation of excellent quality and reasonable pricing, much of which is due to long-term R & D efforts. Currently there are around 200 to 250 producers on the island. The total production value of US$1.15 billion in 2006 has made Taiwan one of the world's top 5 manufacturers of plastic and rubber machinery, along with Germany, Japan, Italy and U.S.A.
