The Taiwan International Boat Show (TIBS), originally scheduled to be held at the Kaohsiung Exhibition Center and Kha Shing Pier 22 from March 12 to 15, has been postponed to March 10 to 13, 2022.
Over 80% of Taiwan's yacht-related companies are located in Kaohsiung, the host city of TIBS. With R&D centers, manufacturers and suppliers of hardware components to the machinery, marketing ,dealers and agencies, Taiwan's yachting market is capable of operating the entire supply chain on its own. The export value in 2019 reached USD 3.8 billion, a 38% increase from 2018, with products primarily exported to the United States, Australia, Italy and Japan. According to "Boat International" magazine, Taiwan ranked sixth globally and first in Asia in the total mega yacht orders made for 2019, with well-known Taiwanese companies such as Ocean Alexander and Horizon Yachts being amongst those listed; both Ocean Alexander and Horizon Yachts are two of the top 10 mega yacht manufacturers in the world, and have supported TIBS since its first show. These factors have made TIBS into one of the best yacht purchasing platforms in Asia.
TIBS features Asia No.1 indoor boat show with many International exhibitors, high quality and luxury yachts, and various exhibition areas including Yachts and Boats, Equipment and Accessories, Maritime Services, Diving and Fishing Equipment, and more. Significant events held during TIBS include industry forums, 1 on 1 matchmaking meetings, and product launch. While the impact of COVID-19 outbreak resulted in the show being postponed this year, this is an extraordinary situation but we feel we must do our bit to ensure the safety and health of our exhibitors and stakeholders that we TIBS organizing team will pull together and get through this difficult period to enjoy an even bigger, better and more successful than ever Taiwan Int'l Boat Show in March 2022. We are hopeful that the industry in the world would be recover after the epidemic .In addition, TAITRA overseas offices will continue to provide the solution and latest information of the yacht industry in Taiwan and create more worldwide cooperation opportunities with our partners.
