Water-filled Rubber Dam is a flexible dam made of high-strength fabric-reinforced rubber, filled with water to inflate and retain water, achieving water storage and upstream water level regulation. When drainage, sediment removal or navigation is required, the water inside is released and the dam collapses completely, restoring the river's original flow section.
Compared to air-filled rubber dams, the water-filled type offers better stability, stronger resistance to wind, waves and ice, making it suitable for projects with higher dam heights and more complex flow conditions.
Key Features:
Simple structure, low construction cost, short installation period
Good sealing performance, minimal leakage
Strong flow capacity after collapse, minimal impact on flood discharge, sediment removal or navigation
Good seismic performance due to flexible structure
Low maintenance cost, service life of 20-30 years
High level of automation available with remote monitoring and control systems
Applications:
Agricultural irrigation and diversion
Urban river impoundment and landscape water storage
Small to medium-sized water conservancy hubs and hydropower diversion
Flood control, drainage and basin-wide water dispatch projects
Construction cofferdams and temporary water-retaining works
Regulating weirs for wastewater treatment plants
Custom sizes, dam heights and pressure ratings are available according to project requirements. OEM/ODM orders welcome.
