A wet-pipe sprinkler system is a fixed, automatic fire suppression and alarm system comprising closed-type sprinkler heads, a piping network, a wet alarm valve assembly, water flow indicators, and water supply facilities.
In the event of a fire, the sprinkler heads activate upon exposure to heat, releasing water; simultaneously, the wet alarm valve triggers the hydraulic alarm bell and pressure switch to sound an alert, while also activating the fire pump to ensure a continuous water supply. This system is suitable for environments with ambient temperatures ranging from 4°C to 70°C and is characterized by its simple structure, rapid fire suppression capabilities, and broad range of applications. It remains the most widely utilized automatic sprinkler fire suppression system globally.
