The 830nm Thermal CTP (Computer-to-Plate) Plate is a positive-working offset printing plate specially designed for exposure with 830nm infrared laser thermal CTP systems. Unlike traditional photosensitive plates that require strict yellow-light conditions, this thermal plate offers excellent daylight handling capability, helping reduce operating costs while improving production flexibility.
Its advanced thermal-sensitive coating ensures accurate image transfer, excellent chemical resistance, and stable performance during long print runs.
Features of Thermal CTP Plates
1. Daylight Operation for Higher Efficiency
The 830nm thermal plate can be exposed and processed under daylight conditions without requiring a darkroom. This creates a more comfortable working environment, greatly reducing workshop construction costs and manual preparation time.
High-quality plates can be safely handled under normal indoor light for 1 hour and under yellow light for up to 12 hours.
2. Stable and Precise Imaging Performance
Based on precise thermal threshold imaging technology, the plate-making process is less affected by ambient temperature and humidity, ensuring stable storage and imaging performance.
It achieves 1-99% dot reproduction at 200-250 lpi and supports 10-micron FM screening. The plate offers fast ink-water balance on press and short make-ready time.
3. Compatible with Mainstream CTP Systems
830nm is an internationally standard wavelength, compatible with mainstream thermal CTP platesetters from Agfa, Kodak, Heidelberg, Screen, and other major brands. Users are not limited to a single equipment brand.
4. High Run Length and Low Overall Cost
The unbaked run length reaches 80,000-120,000 impressions, while baking can increase the run length to 200,000-400,000 impressions. High-end products can achieve over 1,000,000 impressions after baking.
